Human DNA Sample Identification using SGM Plus®
Description
DNA Fingerprinting is the standard for establishing human identification. Using multicolour fluorecence STR technology human DNA samples can be typed with accuracy.
We have a strong reputation in STR typing. Our present operations evolved from the highly regarded "Linkage Hotel", and we now offer a human sample identification which builds on this experience.
Application
Human DNA identification is used for the validation of DNA samples:
- Geneservice has optimised protocols for using the AmpFISTR® SGM Plus® PCR amplification kit, which has an unsurpassed reputation for providing reliable robust STR results across a broad range of sample types.
- The SGM Plus® kit amplifies 10 highly informative STR loci plus the gender marker Amelogenin. These afford, on average, a 1 in 5 trillion probability of identity, making it a powerful STR system for human identification.
