To help in searching for either a specific miRNA or a miRNA target, we recommend that you access the Welcome Trust Sanger Institute’s Micro RNA search tool. This may be found at the following URL:
http://microrna.sanger.ac.uk/cgi-bin/targets/v4/search.pl
To search for a specific miRNA and its potential targets input a miRNA/Rfam ID in the upper box. An example of this is ‘hsa-mir-147’
Alternatively, inputting a gene symbol may search potential miRNA targets an example of a gene ID is ‘ZAP70’.
Finally, please check the availability of miRNA constructs found in the library by cross-referencing with the ‘xls’ library database found: here
